Returns and Refunds

Please note that there are some items for which we cannot accept returns unless the product is defective. These items include: custom or semi-custom, straw hats, final clearance items.

We want to make sure you are satisfied with your new hat. Please keep in mind we are unable to refund any monies on hat orders.

Customers have 30 days from their original order to initiate a return. Your complete satisfaction is our goal, so to initiate a return for item(s) that are eligible for return, fill out the return form provided in your order and include it with your merchandise. Special order, drop ships and custom merchandise may not be returnable or may be subject to a restocking fee. Items(s) must be in original condition and box, including all parts, accessories, and packaging. Shipping fees are non-refundable.

If you simply have changed your mind or wish to exchange a product, we ask that the customer pay the return shipping charge to us. Return shipping costs are non-refundable, unless the item is being returned as a result of our error (damaged, wrong item sent, etc.). If we have made a mistake on the order, call our customer service center at 405-232-4287 and we will be happy to issue a return shipping label to you to have the item(s) sent back to our distribution center at no charge to you. In the case of items returned for exchange, the customer will be responsible for shipping fees for the new item(s) to be sent back to you. Please indicate on your exchange form the speed of shipping service you prefer. If you want shipping to be expedited or rushed, you will have to indicate this in the notes on your exchange.

Restocking fees are sometimes necessary for returned items where there was no mistake on the original order, as we may incur freight charges back to a vendor or to cover our loss on custom or special ordered merchandise. These fees are also used to defray the expense of re-packaging, cleaning, or restoring an item to “as-new” condition. Restocking fees may apply to special orders, drop shipped orders, and custom merchandise. Shipping fees are non-refundable. Depending on the item, these types of orders may not be returnable. If a restocking fee is applied to your return, it is calculated as 20% of the purchase price.

I am returning an item and would like to know when you will refund my credit card?

When we receive your package our returns department promptly inspects the items to ensure they are in the original condition and that the item(s) are eligible for return. Packages are received Monday – Friday during regular business hours. The item is then inspected, and if approved, then you will receive an email from Customer Service informing you that your refund has been credited to the card you used to make the purchase. Refunds are generally granted within 7-14 business days upon the receipt of the returned item. If you are requesting a refund and your order was placed more than 30 days ago, we are only able to provide you with store credit. Our system is designed to provide extreme security to our customers, and as a result, does not save any credit card information. After 30 days, we no longer have the ability to issue a refund to your order.

What if I want a refund but I used a gift card/certificate?

No problem, We make refunds in the original form of payment. So if you used a SHORTY’S gift card/certificate to make your purchase, you’ll receive a refund back on a SHORTY’S gift card.
